Aberlour — Rebrand

The Client

Aberlour is the 7th largest malt whisky in the world in terms of volume sales, and is the leading single malt in France.

The Project

The key priority was to evolve the existing brand identity and to inject the brand with more prestige and luxury cues. The object was to strengthen Aberlour’s positioning as an artisanal/boutique malt, created by skilled craftsman.

In addition we were commissioned to create a brand ‘signifier’ that could be used in the ‘dark markets’ and become recognisable globally.

The Approach

Using the elements of the brand personality; enigmatic, rich, generous and honest we developed an own able photographic style that captured the mysterious, rich, intriguing, essence of the spirit itself.

A bespoke typographic style was developed along with a more refined colour palette to elevate the luxury cues and reflect the intelligence of the brand.
