British Land – The Hempel Collection

The Client

British Land is one of Europe’s largest publicly listed real estate companies. They have a long history of owning, managing, developing and financing high quality residential property assets in London with a focus on the higher end of the market.

The Project

An exclusive community of 34 premium residences.

British Land approached us to create the brand identity and marketing materials for this under-stated luxury offering. The properties provide full lifestyle management and a private garden in the heart of London. Our goal was to create brand that reflected the values inherent within this unique development.

The Approach

The strategy was to create a ‘House of brands’ using a ‘collection’ of names. This gave us a brand architecture and flexibility to reflect the different phases of completion, which also reflected the portfolio of bespoke properties on offer.

Each development referenced the core brand mark, but was versioned to create its own individual experience. These brand marks were then applied across multiple touch points.

Creative Execution

With the private gated garden being such a unique and privileged benefit, we commissioned our friend and botanical illustrator J R Shepherd at Inky Leaves to illustrate the trees and plants within the gardens. This form language made a perfect complement to the delicate yet authoritative collection brand mark.

We are always excited when a luxury experience like this becomes digital – and this was no exception. We created an 84” multi-touch HD screen installation, for the onsite marketing and also the international marketing suites. We also designed a bespoke user interface and navigation panels for the digital screen UI.

We also delivered a marketing film to provide a tease for this exquisite offering. Collaborating with directors from outside the property market, helped us provide a very powerful and emotional film.
