House of Holland is firmly established in the international fashion scene. It boasts an impressive roster of international premium stockists including Browns Focus, Selfridges, Harvey Nichols, Colette, and Barneys.
Egelnick and Webb have worked with House of Holland for over six seasons, helping define his brand identity and consumer messaging, so the catwalk collection can remain a premium offering, and can sit alongside the various collaborations and brand extensions in a cohesive manor.
Autumn/ Winter 2009
Featured in ‘Graphic Design for Fashion’, our invite for Autumn/ Winter 2009 was a literal observation of that season. The show collection being based on colour charts (Henry was decorating at the time!). We came up with the ingenious idea of taking a Pantone book and printing black on each page to create the invite. The kaleidoscope of colours from the colour books really brought the collection to life. This project has been endlessly blogged about ever since.
Spring/ Summer 2009
Sex, lies and volleyball was the story for Spring/ Summer 2009. We liked the polka dots so much we decided to make stickers out of them so that you could polka dot your own outfit during the show. We even sealed the lookbook with an oversize polka dot.
Autumn/ Winter 2010
Autumn/ Winter 2010 was all about being a rude girl. Big earrings, pony tails, lots of attitude and a paisley print scarf inviting you to the fashion show. Sometimes the best idea is the most obvious one.
Spring/ Summer 2010
For the House of Holland Spring/ Summer 2010 show you were invited to a wedding. We made special confetti from little houses that you could throw at the nuptuals. This was also the season that the front row were sent a Blackberry, to launch the app we had designed which enabled you to buy the T-Shirts from the show as they were coming down the runway. Clever that.
Autumn/ Winter 2011
We love working with House of Holland. How many clients give you the opportunity to go to a bingo hall for research?A few games later and we’d decided that the only route for this season would be to create our own Bingo Pens and marker sheet in the season colours. Nice.
Spring/ Summer 2011
Spring/ Summer 2011 had a tropical ‘Xanadu’ theme. The palm leaf print featured in the collection was too tempting not to use for the show invite. After quickly realising that real palm leaves were not a good idea, we managed to track down hundreds of plastic palm leaves from a prop suppliers, normally reserved for themed restaurants. A foil block later and the design was done.
Always on his phone, it wasn’t a surprise when Henry started to design his own iPhone cases. There were a lot of happy people receiving a fashion accessory as their invite for Autumn/Winter 2012. Featuring that seasons print the cases have become a hit and each season his latest designs adorn the little plastic case that makes you look so trendy.
Spring/ Summer 2012
Pastel Punks was the theme behind Spring/ Summer 2012, so pastels and punks it was. We found an amazing make up artist that was actually able to make the model look like she was a tattooed lady from the circus! The hardness of the punk was softened by the Pastels of the invite, using uncoated paper stocks and foil to provide that luxury feel.
