Samsonite Black Label by Viktor & Rolf

Viktor & Rolf’s inspiration for their collaboration with Samsonite was the ‘Golden Age of Travel’, a time when air travel was exciting and glamorous, long before the stampede to the furthest departure gate of a budget airline. The products featured signature Viktor & Rolf details that played with scale, e.g. oversized zippers so they asked that the finished items would appear almost toy-like.Our idea was to build a mini-scale airport with Golden-era appropriate aircraft and vehicles, all in Viktor & Rolf trademark white, to sit the bags in. This gave a playful, engaging campaign that told a little of the story behind the range without over-powering the product.
