John Warwicker

February 14, 2013 John Warwicker

A couple of us went to the John Warwicker D&AD talk last night and were inspired by the Tomato/Underworld stars thinking. He spoke a lot about his influences growing up and working within the Tomato collective. It is always good to hear how other people work as it makes you re-assess your own working methodology. One point that he touch on was his colour blindness (although not completely monochromatic) and how it effects his work. He once noticed that different climates have an effect on colours; for example, the MacDonalds Golden Arches, who have a strong brand adherence, differ on different continents. Below is a example of one of many lovely colour compositions which he has created documenting colours from various places.
