Norton is the latest British Heritage brand to update its identity (founded in 1898 by James Lansdowne Norton). It has also updated the iconic Commando model which is already sold out in the UK despite not having yet been built. At £15,000 a pop that, along with a broken ankle (and 3 almost orphans), is another reason why I won’t be getting one sadly.
Characteristic of a good heritage brand is a rich archive of advertising which is featured on the Norton site. From the golden age when marketing was simply sticking a hot pant clad girl on a motorbike with a suggestive strapline. Genius.
