I had the very good fortune to meet Kirby Allison from The Hanger Project last week; possibly the world’s leading expert on shoe-care and purveyor of luxury wooden hangers.
As garments spend more time on hangers than they do being worn, a properly fitting hanger is essential to avoid limp garments and dimpled shoulders. Frustrated by cheap wooden or plastic hangers he created the world’s first collection of luxury wooden hangers which come in American Maple with a more generous ‘flared’ shoulder support, available in mutliple widths and uniquly male and female shapes. No longer must the well-dressed live frustrated at closets plagued by cheap wooden or plastic hangers!
Business dispensed with it was dinner, Manhattans and whisky with Permanent Style’s Simon Crompton in quite possibly the warmest looking coat I’ve seen this winter (Nigel Cabourn)
A ‘special project’ to follow in due course… TE
